Under Water Video Of A Dry Fly Take.
This catch was a pretty cool because how tight the trees were behind us and how we were able to sneak up on a feeding Brook Trout and film it take a dry fly. Bryan had the Go Pro in the water to watch it feed. I then went for a bow and arrow type cast over Bryan's shoulder. We couldn't have planned it any better. First try I landed the Blue Wing about 2 feet in front of the fish. On the first pass the fish hit it. I set the hook and Bryan with camera in hand released it. [vimeo 40032883 w=500 h=281]

Nicole has some skills! She picked up this little brown on the Lower Provo River with a Caddis in early March. I think it was her second cast. Didn't take much time for her to get her cast back.
Southern Utah Fly Fishing
Everyone is thinking hiking, mountain biking and jeeping Southern Utah over the next few weeks. Jon and Nate are thinking fly fishing. If you're into some exploring you can find some pretty good zones. Avoid the run off and beat the heat. Get out and have some fun this spring.
Fly Fishing Marathon
A few of the Brighton Anglers had a marathon day of fishing. It started off hitting up Jordanelle Reservoir at 7am then after lunch we headed to the Provo River to catch up with Mouse and Isla. The fishing was good at both spots. What we found to work best at Jordanelle was a ginger wooly bugger with an intermediate sink line. The flow on the river has gone up a bit. We couldn't get anything on top but Mouse and Jared hooked in to some fish with bead headed prince nymphs. The day ended heading back at Jordanelle to fish during the sunset. Overall a really fun day!

Brighton Angler Jake Welch hooked up with Hog Johnson on the Cheakamus River in BC while taking a break from filming snowboarding. Nice catch Jake. Just under 35" taken with a Orange and pink intruder.

Couple of days In Paradise
Went out to the "Holy Waters" on Wednesday and Friday as well. The place is a paradise and full of healthy browns. Crossed paths with some fellow anglers today and had the chance to take a photo of Brandon's HOG.

Hit up Jordanelle Reservoir yesterday with Bryan. Noticed his new sticker on the back of his truck. Had a good laugh and figured if he keeps catching hogs he can run stickers like that.

Spring Fishing
The Brighton Anglers have been bending rods like crazy this spring. The fishing is going off! I hit up my favorite creek yesterday with my wife and didn't want to leave. We killed it. I see an over night camping trip in my near future. [vimeo http://www.vimeo.com/39221513 w=500&h=281]
Fly Fishing and beer drinking...
I found these photos on my camera from a trip down south on the Seiver river. Made me smile remembering how much fun we had drinking beers and catching trout. This spot is for sure on my list of trips this coming summer.
Big Cottonwood Creek
I decided to hit up the creek in Big Cottonwood Canyon after shredding Brighton today. I found a small little zone below the snow line that had some nice little runs and shelfs. It proved to be a good sport. I saw or caught fish in every hole you would expect fish to be in. I fished an Elk Hair Caddis on top and dropped a BH Prince Nymph under the surface. Thats my go to set up and it always works for me. I hooked fish on both flies. After about an hour and a half of fishing I landed more fish then I could count on two hands I had to split. I had a great time and was stoked to see them taking Caddis's again. I look forward to more sunny days this weekend. Fish On!
