Frenzy Shop and Casting 4 A Cure

Something tasty just came off the screen print!  Frenzy shirts are here and we want to help out a group that we have known for quite a while.

We have, are, and always will be big advocates of Casting 4 A Cure.  It is a fantastic organization representing a great cause.

So, what we are going to do is donate to Casting for a Cure all profit from the first 100 items sold from our Frenzy Shop!

Here is their story:

It was a rainy day in December 2007 when Beth and Bill Farnum learned their daughter, Ella, had Rett Syndrome.

Within months, Bill figured out how to combine his newest passion, curing Rett Syndrome, with his oldest one: fishing. His idea was to organize a small fly fishing trip for a few friends and ask for donations in return.

Bill soon realized he needed a partner to pull off such a feat. This partner had to be someone who could get equally as excited about a fundraising adventure. Enter Jim Copeland, Bill’s long-time fishing buddy. Jim jumped on board and together they organized the perfect outing. They would take a handful of friends and head to Steamboat Springs for a weekend filled with fishing, poker, and lots of good laughs.

There was just one problem. This idea was too good for just a handful of friends. Everyone who heard about the trip wanted in. And because these are the last guys to turn down a party, Bill and Jim’s vision has since turned into a 24-team competition featuring live music, corporate sponsors, and endless camaraderie. But despite all the growth and good times, the ultimate goal remains crystal clear: casting for a cure.

Over the last three years, Casting 4 A Cure has grown into a multi-faceted, non-profit organization that raises critical funds for research and to support families affected by Rett Syndrome.   Since its inception, Casting 4 A Cure has raised over $125,000 for Rett Syndrome research and family support.”

This cause is too great to not support!

Dog Sitting & Fishin

Last weekend while bent over flipping rocks looking for bugs this little guy snuck up on me and scared the crap out of me. We were on the Weber river in Oakley kind of far from any ranches. I felt this little guy was lost. Good thing he had tags. I called the owner and told them where we were fishing on a voice mail. An hour of so later we heard some dude yelling for his dog. Then the pup ran off. No thank you but our reward is knowing the dog made it back home. Im thinking this is the first time the pup has seen a fish. Kind of fun being a dog owner for a short time.

Desert Fishin

The crew and myself decided that we haven't been desert fishing in a while, so we took the journey out to desert-land to land a few nice fish. the fish that live in this piece of water are some of the most beautiful fish I've set my eyes on. check the photos. A nice look from up top on a cliff band. Sight fishing as it's finest! Mouse snagged that chubby out of the hole i was sight fishin them to. Nice fish eh! This hand-tied Mouse fly was killing it. The "Super E-Murder" as we call it. Caught this guy while reelin in my fly! HAHA! We didn't put this up? Who is the culprit? Mouse and his BEAUTY brown! Mouse won the fishing competition this time. ha.

Fishing is hot right meow. get out there people. GET BENT!

Colorado Fishing!

Jon and his friend Nate have been taking some journeys across the boarder in to Colorado. They have found a sweet little spring creek full of healthy fish. Im told the days are full of count less fish. I couldn't get him to tell me exactly where but I am told its easy to find with google maps. So if your into a little adventure from Utah head East and explore a bit. Im going to give it a shot.

Wyoming Fish Hunting

A bunch of the Brighton Anglers hit up the Green River for a mans weekend fishing trip. It was full of beer drinking and fish catching good times. It was a fun trip full of amazing scenery and all kinds of deer, antelope, cows, raccoons, bald eagles and other wildlife playing in and around the river. Pretty awesome experience. Enjoy the mega post of photos.

Thats it. Thanks for viewing.

Small creek fishin

Mouse and myself went out to check some small stream action the other day. It seems the water was between hatches but we still managed to make fish rise. Check the action.

Tip Of The Week! Spot Check Castle Lake

Temps are crazy hot in Utah. So a few of us decided to head to the Uinta National Forest. This place is known for hundreds of lakes full of hungry trout. The trick is to find one all to yourself. I had a good hunch where we could find one. Castle Peak and Lake. We hit this zone a lot in the winter on our snowmobiles and I was excited to see what it looked like without any snow. After an hour of 4X4ing we found the trailhead and camp spot. Good sign with you don't see any other cars at the end of the road. After about a mile hike we were at the lake. We were stoked to arrive and not see any other people and to see fish rising. We quickly set up our rods and it was on. Sight fishing to fish you see near the shore or rising fish out in the lake. We caught Brooke's, Cutt's and Tiger trout. After walking around the whole lake we decided to hike a little further and head up to the peak and check out the view. It was well worth it. The view was spectacular. Nicole and I shared a beer and then decided to head back to camp to grab some food. This was a fun zone and I would recommend you checking it out. But don't just trust google maps. I think there are a few lakes in the Uintas named Castle Lake. Have fun exploring.

Moto Fishin

Parker and I rallied our Sportsters up to the Middle Provo. Nothing like a nice morning cruise to go fishing. We knew the river was gonna be busy, but goddamn. The hole we wanted to fish was full. So talking amongst ourselves about where to go, we heard "Hey retards." We looked over to the random fisherman "As long as you don't act like a couple of dumbasses you can fish next to me, and we can change our spots up as the day goes on." So we took him up on his offer and slayed over a bakers dozen between us. Thanks random fisherman and keep rippin them lips.
